Collegiate Nationals Registration Announced:

Sixteen teams qualified for the Collegiate Wakeboard Nationals to be held this year in Shreveport, Louisiana over Memorial Day weekend of May 24-26. Now they have a chance get their spot secured and focus on training.

To secure their spot, each team must have a representative email requesting an invoice. A pay-pal invoice will then be sent out. Once the invoice has been paid, your team’s spot is secured.

The deadlines are:

Before March 15, 2013
Prequalified Schools only
$350 / team (Seven spots)
$65 / individual (Men’s A, Women’s A only)

March 15 – 31, 2013
Prequalified School and Schools who rode at regional qualifiers (
$350 / team (Seven spots)
$65 / individual (Men’s A, Women’s A only)

April 1, 2013
Prequalified School and Schools who rode at regional qualifiers until March 31, 2013
$500 / team (Seven spots)
$100 / individual (Men’s A, Women’s A only)

Competitors entry fee will cover their competition and in addition, other great benefits like a USA-Wakeboard Collegiate Nationals banquet, and tickets to Shreveport’s Mud Bug Madness.

Eligibility requirements for USA Wakeboard Collegiate Wakeboard Nationals:

All competitors must be full-time students enrolled at the university or college to which they are competing for. Full-time is determined by the university’s definition by credit load. Non-full-time students are allowed on the following circumstances:
– Part-time students are allowed if it is the final enrollment period (semester, trimester, quarter, etc) for the competitor prior to their graduation, they may compete given they maintain above a 2.0 GPA for their final enrollment period.
– Competitors who have graduated are allowed to compete, given that they were enrolled for their final enrollment period at the time of their respective collegiate regional of the current qualifying year. The graduated student must have competed at their qualifying regional event. If the student is entering graduate school at a separate university, the university must compete for the university that provided their degree.

Competitors must hold a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. Competitors are allowed to participate in up to four (4) USA Collegiate Wakeboard National events. A fifth year may be granted to those who are pursuing a Graduate or PhD education.

If competitors are unsure, or are seeking guidance please contact USA Wakeboard. Some exceptions are made for medical issues. Exceptions are made by approval of USA Wakeboard’s board of directors.
